What is your favorite childrens book?

Mine would be Amy’s Eyes by Richard Kennedy. It’s about an orphaned girl who brings a doll to life through her tears. Lengthy book, perfect for if you have a younger child (maybe 9+) who’s an avid reader.whats yours?

When I was little I have come across with this story about the rabbit and the turtle. They are in a race. The rabbit can run so fast. The turtle is very slow but he is consistent. The rabbit went ahead but then fell asleep. When he woke up the turtle was on the finish line and he lost the race. I don't who is the author of that book and its title. It is a very nice story to read for the children. The race can be won by slow yet sure and consistent people.

My favorite is The Little Prince. I enjoy reading it all over again. Another favorite of mine is A Wrinkle in Time. There's a lot of mixed reactions concerning that book but I like it a lot. I guess Harry Potter falls into this category as well? I'm not sure.

Maybe Alice in Wonderland and Harry Potter series, although these aren't regarded as books only for children anymore and could be seen as deep works of literature. Anyway, when I was a child I usually read lots of genres, but mainly classical literature since it was what was available for me.

I would have to go for the monkey and the turtle story. A local variation of monkey getting ahead and the turtle making it to the finish line. It seems common but it's a story worth reading for kids. It teaches not to be complacent and ready.

I have a lot of favorites. But, the story that was really popular in school was the story of Monkey and the Turtle. It gives us the lesson of never underestimating someone as they may shock you in the end.

Mary Poppins by P.L Travers. This book was my favorite children story. I like her personality and sense of humor. The magic in the story tells something that life is so fantastic and fun. Glorious.

My favorite children's books is "Alice in Wonderland." Though I've read numerous children's books this one still remains my favorite. It isn't just about the story, it's the way the writer tells that story.

Sure, I've seen the book described by some critics as "a book of nonsense" but hey, this is fantasy and the writer does a really good job of connecting with kids and making them want to find out what happens to Alice next as she meets the different folks who live in wonderland.

By the way the fact that Alice in Wonderland still is widely read by children all over the world is proof enough that it still is one of the best children's books ever written.
