Favorite Stephen king book?

I always recommend that people start with some of his older ones to see if they really dig Stephen King- The Stand (hefty read but SO GOOD), ‘Salem’s Lot, Carrie, The Shining, IT.

His newer (newish) stories- Mr. Mercedes, Under the Dome, The Outsider. They’re all good. But he starts to go a little less heavy on the super cringey details and scary shit that draws people to him in the first place.

I started with Nightmares and Dreamscapes, a collection of Stephen King stories... My still favorite story of all time from Mr. King is Dolan's Cadillac... I read that early on in my youth, man that story had me hooked, I could not put the book down, I still can see the blistered hands in my mind... Great story, highly recommend it if you have not read it yet...

Under The Dome, my favorite one so far, even though I just started it! It has some sort of mystery that I like and I like that idea with the Doom! I can not wait for real conflicts to arise! Just brilliant so far!

Well, I have just recently read IT and I have high expectations from the other books of Stephen King. If I already have the luxury of time, I would love to try Carrie.

The Shining was beyond terrifying and gory, I adored it. The tension in each line was palpable. Stephen King is truly a genius writer!
